What requirements do properly executed diplomas and their supplements meet?
In order for a diploma of education to have legal force in the territory of another state, in most cases it is necessary not only to make a notarized translation of the diploma, but also to affix an apostille on it to the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, which in turn is scrupulous about the correctness of registration of diplomas and applications to them.
In this regard, we would like to draw your attention to several important points in diplomas and their annexes.
Starting from 1999, Ukrainian universities began to issue plastic diplomas with a special protective hologram to their graduates in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1260 of November 12, 1997.
Only diplomas from faculties of related and additional professions of universities on the requalification of a specialist since 1999 can be issued according to the old model, i.e. in the form of a book.
Since 2001, supplements to all university diplomas must be prepared on special blue forms, and since 2003 they must be compiled only in Ukrainian.
Please note that in the diploma annex there must be a record of the series and number of the diploma to which this application relates, the date of issue, registration number, university seal and signature of the official who issued the document.
If these requirements are not met, the Ministry of Education of Ukraine returns the documents sent for apostille to their owner to bring them into proper form.
Note!
Some diplomas for requalification of a specialist contain a note “without a diploma of basic education is not valid”, in this case it is advisable to have the diploma translated so that the documents are certainly accepted by a foreign organization.
Translation of diploma into English, German, Russian and other languages

To give legal force to Ukrainian diplomas in the Russian Federation, it will be enough to perform a notarized translation into Russian (translate into Russian and notarize a copy of the document and the authenticity of the translator’s signature).
